listening as care

to listen is to intentionally receive. to be still and present. to witness with all our senses all that surrounds us, all that exists within us, and reconnect with ourselves and the land.

through listening,  we remember that we are capable of holding all the complexities of life within us.  the contradictions. the emotions. the pain. the joy. the grief. the anger.

all of it we can hold.

in our ability to listen we are infinite

endlessly connected to one another through the sounds we make as we move through the world and the sounds we hear.

sound rituals + mediums

i work with a wide array of sonic mediums from field recordings to electronics to percussion. i weave these forms into various modalities of performance and expression, such as sound rituals and meditations.

sound rituals are participatory community events that emphasize connectivity and empathy through listening process, sound art, ritual, and channeled transmissions.

currently i am working on Where Land Meets Sky: Geophonic Transmissions for the Body, a four-part community listening series of immersive somatic-sound art pieces that explore the body’s connection to geophonic sounds of the natural world.

meditation + change magic

life is change and to live a life well is to learn to live with change and make magic.

meditation can teach us how to live with change. it can even teach us how to work with the magic of change to intentionally weave our lives.

the meditations i create speak to this change magic. where sound is woven intentionally with channeled guidance to create meditation experiences that are transformative, healing, and liberating.
